About GML
Gulf Music Live is your one-stop destination for discovering the best live music along the Gulf Coast in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Perdido Key, and Pensacola Beach. GML provides Gulf Coast visitors and locals with an all-inclusive calendar showing upcoming live events, as well as pages highlighting featured artists, bands, and venues. GML is owned by Matt and Kerrie Osborn, who both grew up in Alabama, lived in the Washington, DC area for too long, and moved down to the Gulf Coast in 2018.
Since that time, Matt and Kerrie have developed a love for local live music but noticed that locals and visitors alike had no single website, app, or social media platform to find out where their favorite bands were playing or who was playing at their multiple favorite venues. And, thus, GML was born. We hope you enjoy GML, discover new and exciting artists, bands, and venues, and, above all, have a great time here on the Gulf Coast (whether you are on a temporary or permanent vacation).

We do not. But good news – you don’t need one.

How do I search the GML calendar?
Simply type the name of an artist/band, venue, or locality (ex. Gulf Shores) in the search bar. To get more specific, add in a date range for when you’ll be on vacation or, for the locals, when you’ll be out and about.
Where does GML get its music listings?
GML receives listings from artists and venues, submissions from this page, and also compiles events from public online listings. To submit an event, head to our Get Listed on GML page.
Does GML use AI for its music listings?
No.
While AI is good for many things, we have found it unreliable for live music listings. AI struggles to accurately pull vital data like times, dates, and other important information from websites, online calendars, social media posts, and custom graphics used by many artists and venues to announce their upcoming shows.
Every show you see posted on GML is hand-entered by us and double-checked against the source we used to gather the listing. We also actively monitor social media and other sources to ensure any last-minute cancellations or updates are reflected in our listings – something we have found AI is unable to do in a timely and accurate manner.
AI may get there eventually, but for now, all GML listings are 100% human-curated for maximum accuracy.
What types of events are listed on GML?
GML’s listings include live music events at public venues and other areas. Events not listed on GML include, but are not limited to, ticketed events, private events or concerts, theater productions, and karaoke.
What geographic areas does GML cover?
From east to west, we accept listings for areas from Gulf Shores east to Navarre, including Orange Beach, Perdido Key, and Pensacola Beach. We also accept listings for areas south of US Highway 98.
